It has been almost a year since Christopher Lee took his life. We ask you to join us, not in mourning, but to celebrate his life and the lasting legacy of his work in the intimate setting of the New Parkway Theater.
In addition to screening Christopher’s films, The New Parkway has food, drink, family, and friends. Both programs will include information on new legislation being put forward by the Transgender Law Center in Christopher Lee’s name, as well as an invitation to bear witness to how you were touched by Christopher, as a person and/or an artist.
DAY/DATE: Saturday, December 21, 2013
LOCATION: The New Parkway Theater, 474 24th Street, Oakland, CA 94612
COST: $10.00 for each program, to cover the cost of the theater rental

Community Gathering: 12:00 – 4:45 PM
This is a community building space, so if you have flyers, brochures, or other materials related to supporting the health, resilience, art and culture of transgender people and their families, please bring it with you. We’ll have plenty of table space to share resources.
Many of us who will be attending are parents. We will have childcare available upstairs in the New Parkway provided by several young adults in our community. Childcare will be sliding scale (about $10/per child)- we just want to make sure to pay our childcare providers. Please email Maya at firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text (510) 381-0876 to RSVP re childcare.
